Energy Management at Superquinn

As part of SuperQuinn's ongoing committment to the environment through reduced consumption of electricty, the ECONOLIGHT energy saving device has been installed in its stores. ECONOLIGHT reduces the power consumption of flourescent lighting fixtures by approximately 20%, with no loss of light levels to the human eye! There are other advantages too. The microprocessor-controlled Econolight reduces the load on cabling so it's cooler and safer, plus many electrical components actually last longer due to the controlled current.

It's a breakthrough in electrical technology! Fluorescent lighting often accounts for up to 70% of an organisation's electrictiy costs. It therefore stands to reason that a 20% saving will have a very considerable effect on a company's expenditure. Widespread use of this technology would also mean that the the usage of fossil fuels would be reduced. Thanks to Econolight's patented CCT 'Controlled Current Technology', you can also enjoy savings on Sodium, Mercury and other types of gas-discharge lighting too. On top of which its smooth voltage stepping and zero interference technology means computers and other similar equipment will function normally. Manufactured in Ireland by Irish Industrial Components Ltd. under license from ECONOLIGHT Ltd., the units vary in 'size' from 10kVA to 250kVA. Non-standard units can also be custom built for specific applications.
